When it comes to complete decadence, there is nothing like a truffle. These mushrooms are hard to find, impossible to cultivate on an industrial level, and bursting with incredible flavour. A shaving of white or black truffles can elevate almost any dish – but foods created around truffles are truly mind-blowing.
The host of the festival is Ken Frank, widely acknowledged as North America’s finest truffle chef. The only American chef invited to participate in the Fiera Internazionale Tartufo Bianco D’Alba, the world-renowned Annual White Truffle Festival in Alba, Italy, he brings world-class savoir-faire to the festival… as well as his coterie of friends and colleagues from around the world!
This year’s guests include Marc Lanteri, executive chef of Ristorante Marc Lanteri in Cuneo, Italy, Molly Nickerson, executive chef of Marea in New York, and Laurent Quenioux, executive chef of Los Angeles’ famous Bistro LQ. Each is a profound talent who will demonstrate the finer points of truffle preparation!
Of course, the whole point of the festival is to taste these incredible dishes! That’s why you should get tickets for the truffle dinner at La Toque, or the truffle lunch at St. Helena. And, even better if you’re a foodie, fresh black truffles will be available for purchase all festival long!
Combine this with all the great wines of the Napa Valley and the Truffle Festival will be the culinary trip of a lifetime. Make it even more memorable by booking a stay at the Hotel Indigo Napa Valley.
